CANADA, UNITED STATES SET FOR SECOND GAME
OF SIX-GAME SERIES IN SPOKANE, WASH.

CALGARY, Alta. – Canada’s National Women’s Team will face the United States on Friday night in Spokane, Wash., in the second game of a six-game series between the international rivals leading up to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Canada defeated the United States 3-1 on Oct. 5 in Victoria, B.C. Since then, Canada’s National Women’s Team has played three games against Midget AAA boys teams in Alberta, posting a 2-1 record in that span. So far this season, Canada has posted a 7-1 mark against Midget AAA boys teams, and is 5-2 against international competition, which includes a 1-2 mark versus the U.S.

Canada’s National Women’s Team will play three games next week against Midget AAA boys teams, before preparing for the 2009 4 Nations Cup. Canada will depart for that event on Oct. 28, with the tournament opening on Nov. 3 in Finland.
