TEAM CANADA PREPARES FOR EXHIBITION GAME
AGAINST SWEDEN

MORA, SWEDEN – Monday morning saw Team Canada’s players and staff – minus assistant coach Lisa Jordan – hit the ice for the first time in Sweden in preparation for the 4 Nations Cup.

Jordan was scheduled to arrive late Monday night, after a tropical storm in Nova Scotia postponed her departure from Halifax. Jordan, however, will join head coach Peter Smith and assistant coach Nancy Wilson on the bench on Tuesday night, when Canada takes on Sweden in an exhibition game.

It will be Canada’s lone exhibition game prior to the start of the 4 Nations Cup, which gets going on Wednesday. After Tuesday night’s game, Canada will leave Mora for Leksand, where the team will remain throughout the event, which runs until November 11th.

Team Canada will be looking to win its fourth-straight title at the 4 Nations. Canada has won nine of the 11 4 Nations Cups dating back to 1994.
